story A stunning setting which is rich with real-life history
GAMEPLAY Some non-optional side quests interrupt the pacing
The long-awaited remake of Like a Dragon: Ishin delivers an exciting and frequently gorgeous new setting to explore, a more rewarding combat system, and some of the best side quests and minigames in the series to date.

Characters Robots and enemies are terrifying and well designed
GAMEPLAY Combat and gameplay feels clunky and uncomfortable
Hopefully though Mundfish can iron out some of these issues on the run up until launch, because there really is a lot to love about this game. The graphics are about as "next-gen" as you can get, the world is marvellous...
graphics The main levels/stages all feature memorable settings
Characters The main character is intensely unlikable
But even so, the biggest disappointment - outside of the narrative, uneven combat, and characters - comes from the expectation and promise found in the art direction, combat, and Soviet-era Russian sci-fi style.
Atomic Heart is, most surprisingly, exactly what I expected. Its biggest strengths are the ones that treat the eyes, but great writing and exploration are welcome in an otherwise overstretched experience.
GAMEPLAY Polymers are interesting
GAMEPLAY Platforming is awkward
But equally, the story may not have worked quite as well in any other setting. Never mind that P-3 uses modern-day millennial slang, or that there’s a disproportionate number of really potentially cool fights that are resolved in cutscenes...
GAMEPLAY Puzzles break up the shooting
GAMEPLAY Combat gets a bit fiddly in certain situations
Atomic Heart is a shooter with some fantastic ideas, excellent presentation, and a fair bit of variety. Although it doesn’t excel at any one thing and flatters to deceive at times, it still has enough to offer a compelling adventure.

GAMEPLAY Fun in so many ways, you never get bored
story The story isn't exactly the best
A BioShock Infinite-inspired first-person action RPG with a unique setting, stunning world design, and high production values. The premise is intriguing: it’s 1955, and the Soviet Union has ended World War II three years early and is leading a technological revolution. An upcoming project, “Kollektiv 2.0,” will allow humans to control robots using their thoughts. Atomic Heart is a very good game that fans of story-driven first-person shooters like Bioshock Infinite should definitely give a shot.
